Vanguard School - Giving to Vanguard

Workplace Campaigns

The Vanguard School is eligible to participate in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) program. The EITC program is administered by the Department of Community and Economic Development and authorizes the award of tax credits to businesses that make contributions to eligible organizations such as The Vanguard School.

A business may receive a tax credit equal to 75% of its contribution made to an eligible organization, which results in a maximum amount of $200,000 per taxable year. The tax credit may be increased to 90% of the contribution made, also resulting in a maximum of $200,000 per taxable year, if the business agrees to provide the same amount of contribution to an organization for two consecutive years.

Businesses that qualify to participate in the EITC program are those that are authorized to conduct business in Pennsylvania, and are subject to one or more of the following taxes: Corporate Net Income Tax, Capital Stock Franchise Tax, Bank and Trust Company Shares Tax, Title Insurance Companies Shares Tax, Insurance Premiums Tax, or Mutual Thrift Institution Tax.

Many individuals choose to make a financial contribution to The Vanguard School by participating in fundraising campaigns in their workplaces, such as United Way and 4Charity. As an eligible 501(c)(3) organization, The Vanguard School can be designated to receive all or part of donors’ charitable contributions.

Several United Way organizations have eliminated the system of using agency codes; designation to the School can be made by listing The Vanguard School (Paoli, PA ) as the “Specific Care” recipient on the pledge form.

Note: United Way of Southeastern Pennsylvania does use a donor code system. Vanguard’s UWSEPA code is 01260.

The Vanguard School is also a participating agency in the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) for federal employees in Southeastern Pennsylvania. To support The Vanguard School, CFC donors can indicate Vanguard as the recipient agency on their pledge cards — Our CFC code number is 62137.
